Goblins of the Ring

While exploring the New Mire for clues about its water-logged state, the party found a small cavern complex nestled at the border of the Patchwork Hills and the New Mire. A group of goblins with a penchant for painting themselves blue with the cave’s lichen inhabited the caverns, and a small skirmish between the guards and the party ensued. After a brief slaughter, the goblin’s leaders appeared, seeking to end the bloodshed.

After conversing with Burukkleyet, the goblin’s shaman/witch/religious leader, the party learned of the strange ring he found “deep underground”. After determining the ring was magical, and deducing its influence over water, the party negotiated with Burukkleyet. In exchange for the ring, they would give him an exact copy, along with another object of value to show the other goblin’s his power. In addition, the party guaranteed the tribe’s safety, at least from the human inhabitants of the Haranshire. The deal was struck, and the party obtained the strange ring…with minimal bloodshed.
